Sales Jobs Await in Kentucky

Sales jobs in Kentucky are ubiquitous and available in a wide variety of industries, though there are some specific fields that are more popular than others due to the nature of the Kentucky economy. Dominated by agriculture, coal extraction and automobile manufacturing, other areas of commerce include production of other transportation equipment, chemical production, electric equipment, food processing and machinery. Because of the popularity of these industries, the most popular Kentucky sales jobs are generally agricultural sales, auto sales, farm and construction equipment sales and energy sales. There are, however, a variety of positions available that range from positions for merchandisers, cashiers, retail sales, cosmetics sales and others to higher-end positions in corporate and B2B sales. As noted, Kentucky has a large agricultural economy and tends to produce quite a bit of a few items, including horses, cattle, tobacco, dairy products, soybeans and corn. And, in spite of the fact that it is a relatively small state geographically, Kentucky is 5th in the country in total number of farms. In recent decades, the state has also become a major contributor to the country's automobile industry, producing both the most popular car (the Toyota Camry) in Georgetown, KY and the best selling truck (the Ford F150) in Louisville, KY.
