Sales Careers in Texas

Sales jobs in Texas are readily available due to the massive economy of the state and the large and diverse industries that have flourished therein. Traditionally relying on cotton, oil and cattle for its aggregate state income, Texas has become highly modernized during the latter part of the 20th Century and into the current decade. Agriculture remains a force in the state, and the Texas longhorn, for which the state is famous and which serves as the mascot for the University of Texas, is still one of the primary agricultural exports. Texas also produces massive amounts of cotton and cereal crops, making agricultural sales jobs and positions in ancillary industries readily available to those who are qualified. Oklahoma sales jobs are also available on our site for those who may want a change of professional scenery. Texas also continues to produce large quantities of oil and, as would be expected, energy sales jobs are popular in the state. Beyond those traditional industries, Texas thrives in the retail, wholesale, information technology, biotech, finance and insurance and construction industries. IT sales jobs, real estate, insurance and financial sales jobs are therefore ubiquitous and the Locate Sales Jobs site features open positions throughout Texas, including in Houston, Austin, Dallas, Fort Worth, San Antonio, Amarillo and countless other cities and towns throughout the region. Among the major companies located in the state and hiring for a wide variety of sales jobs are AT&T, Men's Warehouse, Kimberly-Clark, Blockbuster, Whole Foods, Tenet Healthcare, Dell Computers, Texas Instruments, EDS and myriad others. The technology corridors in Dallas, often referred to as "Silicon Prairie," and in Austin, referred to as "Silicon Hills" are burgeoning and supported heavily by the university system in the state, where UT, Texas A&M and a wide variety of other colleges and universities offer excellent educational opportunities for job candidates and a "feeder" system for the many companies in the state.
